Hello YogaMother! Thanks for sharing your post and giving us a shout out. We loved this line in your post- "I’m holding on to the concept of effort over time: the idea that effort, consistently applied over a good amount of time, will make more difference in one’s life than almost anything else." How very true!

Let us know how it goes with the Yeast Management product. We are still seeing great things with our children! -L&M

P.S. Do you make sure to take the Yeast Management at least 1 hour away from food and supplements?

Hi Molly and Leah,

Your post inspired me to 1) order the product, and 2) blog about yeast as well. I referenced your blog on it, so have a look: http://yogamother.wordpress.com/.

Thanks for this important info, and wishing you all the best with that brutal beast: yeast.

Hello. The company doesn't have a website because they sell wholesale to doctors and their doctors don't want them to have a presence on the web. They don't typically sell direct to the consumer but because they are sympathetic to autism (we think someone in the company has a child/grandchild with autism), they agreed to sell direct to anyone who mentions autism (at a discounted price). They give great information by phone (we found them to be very friendly and helpful), and I know they can email product information too if you prefer not to call. Hope that helps.
Thank you so much for sharing your story. We know how painful it must be for you to relive it. We think it is so important for people to hear about an experience like yours because that is the risk a person takes every time s/he gets a vaccination.

Since you have the spinal tap results confirming your horrendous reaction was from the vaccine, we are curious...are you doing anything with that information?

We are praying for your full recovery. Thanks again for speaking up. Parents need to hear this before making vaccine decisions for their children. -L&M

I hope the makers of this vaccination die. I went to my doctor for my yearly school physical for my sophomore year of high school and that day changed my life. Before that day I was a healthy teenager, playing soccer, softball, and hockey. Now I am lucky that I am still able to walk, I am even thankful to still be breathing. My doctor recommended to my mom the Gaurdacil vaccination to protect against cervical cancer. At the time this vaccination was new and there had not been many trials like chicken pox vaccinations and so forth. I did not want the shot but it was my mom’s final say.
I was sick sleeping for six hours on the couch, I woke up and I felt like I had the flu. Severe headache, vomiting, and cold chills. The next day I couldn’t walk. I had to go to the emergency room. I was there for two weeks at our small town hospital. They finally gave up. The doctors told my parents to prepare for the worst. I was living off of liquid bags and I couldn’t function on my own. I was shipped to a larger hospital where I had a spinal tap to confirm that this vaccination had changed my life.

Hi! Believe me... I understand about verbal stimming. It's like "nails on a chalk board" for me. Glad to hear you're trying GABA, but I have a few questions. Is your son on a low glutamate (low excitotoxin) diet? If not, he may not be getting enough GABA to counteract the glutamates in his food. If you are interested in this, you may want to google Amy Yasko and GABA/Glutamates to read up about foods to avoid. Another thought I had is have you tried inositol along with the GABA? The combination of the 2 was really powerful for my daughter. A third recommendation is neurotransmitter testing. I cannot personally vouch for this, but I have heard that balancing neurotransmitter levels can really help verbal stimming. I've heard there is a blood test to determine which neurotransmitter levels are out of balance and then someone can recommend homeopathic products to balance the levels out. Something else I've noticed is that if my daughter gets too much tv or computer time, she is a lot more verbally stimmy. In fact, I no longer let her have any electronics before school which has really helped. I let her have an hour of electronics after school to let her "wind down" and immediately I see more "self talk". I have noticed that fresh air and lots of physical exercise cuts down on her stimmy-ness too. The other thing that I really feel helped her verbal stimming is ABA therapy. I learned from her therapist that I was unknowingly rewarding her verbal stimming through my responses. I hope something here will help. I know what it feels like to be at your breaking point. Thanks for reading! Molly

HI, I have and 11 year old son with autism. Our biggest challenge with him is his verbal stimming. He is constantly repeating phrases from t.v. shows or from things he has viewed on the computer. He does take GABA and a whole bunch of other supplements and oils. Any other things you can suggest trying? We are at our breaking point. Thanks!
